FUTURE GENERATION
In 2004 WKT continued to record heavy music. Bob Grant (Vocals/Guitars) started out on one riff that
turned into 10 new songs and here's what happened...
FEBRUARY 2004 - Began recording new
material with influences from bands like "Helmet", "Metallica", "Pantera","Iron Maiden" and "Judas Priest" to name a few.
MARCH 2004 - Through the month WKT has recorded all guitar and drum tracks for the
new songs. APRIL 2004 - With all guitar and drum tracks completed the Solo
sections were next. The classic lead solos were mixed with the modern metal sounds that created new and exciting leads in all the
songs from harmony solos to screaming lead guitar fills.
MAY 2004 - The start of writing lyrics was involved
with a lot of thought put into each song. The first three songs on the untitled album are "Masters And Slaves",
"Rot Away" and "Never Again". JUNE 2004 - Starting to record the
vocal tracks to get a feel for the songs a new tune was created by mistake. The song "Suffocate" was born!
JULY 2004 -
Still working on the lyrics and vocal tracks as well as 2 new titles "Give It Take It" and "If I ".
AUGUST 2004 - Studio down for upgrade...album goes on hold
SEPTEMBER 2004 - Studio back up and running. Started laying down rough vocal tracks for all
songs written to date.
OCTOBER 2004 - The lyrics for "Give It Take It" and "If I" are now complete
and vocal tracks are down. Another song that is also complete is called "Angry Man" which seems to be one of my favorites.
NOVEMBER 2004 - More vocal tracks being recorded and 3 more songs were
written called "King Of The Day", "When I'm Free" and "Fight For Me".
DECEMBER 2004 - Dec. 1st starts the day of vocal tracking for all 10 songs. The first
few songs are now complete. "Angry Man", "Rot Away" and "If I" came out better than expected. All vocal
tracks have been completed.
JANUARY 2005 - Jan. 14th begins the bass tracking and was finished up on the 30th.
Mixing begins today and hopefully will be ready for release in Feb. 2005.
FEBRUARY 2005 - Mixing is underway and all songs will be finished up by the end of the month.
Favorite songs are "Angry Man", "If I" and "Suffocate".
